Jody: A New Heart on Valentine's Day
This is our friend Jody. Several months ago, she was diagnosed at Pohnpei's local hospital with rheumatic heart disease (RHD), a condition in which there is permanent damage to the heart valve due to rheumatic fever. MAHI International took Jody's case to Adventist Health Bakersfield where she has been fighting desperately for her life these past couple months.
But tomorrow is Jody's Big Day. It will be Valentine's Day in the States, and guess what?! Jody will get a NEW heart. ❤️ Tomorrow's surgery will give Jody 2 new heart valves to replace the ones destroyed from recurring rheumatic fever.
A new heart... bringing new life for many more strong years.
