AUDAID Visits Classrooms

Our students at RSP Elementary School and a few MAHI International team members with iPads awarded by Australian AID.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, Australian AID's Senior Program Manager Caroline Adams observed our iPad program at one of our adopted schools. In 2012, AUSAID awarded MAHI International a grant to purchase 41 iPad computers, charging and linking cases, and individual Otterbox cases, all of which were purchased to help improve the English proficiency of the local students. We were also able to purchase iPad apps specific for our English Program. Currently, our program serves over 270 students in the 7th and 8th grades in our 4 adopted schools. Our students are responding well to our iPad program, and we have seen how using technology in the classrooms aids in engaging them to learn. MAHI International is gearing up for the 2013-2014 school year, looking for volunteer English instructors and support to finance the on-going expense of the program.
