State of Health Emergency!

Our Pacific Islands are in a state of health emergency! According to a recent article released in May 2010 by the Pacific Island Health Officers Association, these island communities “have some of the highest-rates of non-communicable disease(s) in the world,” including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer.

MAHI International works to assist in the islands’ health emergency through education and healthcare.
