Hooked On Phonics in the Southern Islands of Pohnpei
This summer, MAHI International donated over 50 packets of Hooked on Phonics reading programs to the southern islands of Pohnpei -- Sapwuafik, Nukuoru, and Kapingamarangi -- to improve English speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension in elementary students. This project introduced a state-of-the-art sustainable energy production system that, for the first time, will allow the fishermen of Pakin to control their own ice
