Volunteers ~ Meet Krystal...

Krystal’s Education Background:

Bachelors in Nursing and Psychology,

Masters in Nursing and Health Education

Hello, I’m Krystal!  When I was asked to donate my time with MAHI International to help with some CPR training, I accepted without knowing where I was going and then found out..."well, there is this island between Hawaii and Australia..."  It was a very funny story and filled with God's hand to get me halfway around the world and serving Him!

While on the island, I assisted with training over 100 people in CPR to hospital workers, firemen, airport personnel and city personnel!  I also helped bring an AED program to the local airport and worked with the airport personnel and firemen to develop a response program and first aid procedure!

I loved every minute of being in Pohnpei!  The people were so warm and welcoming and to see how a few people can be making such a huge difference in a location, truly served to motivate me to do more!   I even was asked to meet the Governor and was blessed to meet a large part of the hospital nurses and personnel.  It was interesting to be able to bond with nurses there and see their struggles to care for the patient and the family in their times of need!  The island was beautiful, but the beauty of the people made the island seem pale in comparison!
