With the same team as Project Pohnpei School Expansion, volunteers voyaged approximately 110 miles by boat to the island of Sapwuafik to build a satelite school of Pohnpei.  Sapwuafik has a population of approximately 650 people of which around half are 18 years of age or younger.  The people of Sapwuafik desperately needed another elementary school on the island.  After this project was done, 4 classrooms were built with an adjoining apartment for a volunteer teacher.
 

Today, the children of Sapwuafik have the option of a Christian education through this school.  During its 1st year, it enrolled 31 students.
